DICE DUNKERS: FAQ and errata

1) Team Tactics CRASH THE BOARDS. “For every 18 and higher etc.. the opponent KP gets two exìtra FT”… Are you referring to the RE-Roll of missed extra shots during pick & roll and jump shot events?

No, this applies to ALL extra shots made by a player in his Round, on the Team Event and Clash tables. Treat results 18-20 as critical rolls with extra 2FT for the opponent.

2) Foul Trouble happens exclusively in case of Team Event 12 Chemistry. Am I wrong?

You are right.

3) Team Event 65 Chemistry: What does “opponent points” mean?

If red die lower/equals to team’s DE rating, subtract points from your opponent. The number of points you need to subtract: the active team’s DE value divided by 2 (round up).
EXAMPLE. Miami (DE 3) plays away vs Detroit. Detroit scored 7 points after Team Event Phase. Now it’s Team Event of Miami and 65 Team Event is rolled (2 on the red die). Red die (2) is lower than Miami’s DE rating: Detroit subtracts 2 (DE rating of Miami/2, round up) points from the Team Points. Detroit scores 5 points this Round (7-2).

4) Individual Stats: “Rebound from clash (12-14): 1R”. Logically the rebound shouldn’t be assigned to the KP with the best RB rating?

Award one rebound to the 1R player of the team that benefited from CLASH 12-14: that is Key Player with the higher RB rating. He rebounds and eliminates the opponent’s chance to score.

5) Individual scoring: “Points scored 8”: What does “FT: 2P RED” mean? That the indicated two-point shooter scores two free throws? Or is it a typographical error?

It should be “2xFT: FT [RED]”

6) Having a little trouble understanding the extent of the Diagonal Switch. With multiple position players it’s unclear where to land.

If you need to move the Key Player marker DIAGONALLY and you have 2 players to choose from, just choose one of those players.
Remember that the Key Player marker must cross the zone boundary. If this is not possible use the CHOSEN result.
Example 1: Home player #3 (center Nowitzki) has a REST value of 4. A 6 is rolled on the white dice and a 1 is rolled on the red dice. The result of a 6 is higher than a 4 so change the Key Player and zone using the SWITCH table (column B). The red “1” means DIAGONALLY result. We move the Key Player marker to the RESERVE zone to player number 7 or to player number 9.
Example 2: The Key Player is player number 14 from RESERVE zone. During the game we need to change him to another player in the CORE zone. The DIAGONALLY result allows us to move the marker only to player number 11. Since no zone change will occur we use the CHOSEN score and move the marker to player number 2 in the CORE zone.

INSTANT RESULTS add-on

1) Rolls 11 and 66 in the Matchday table: are the adjustments under the table (+/-d20/3) applied to the +/-20 from 12 and 65? Or are those just d20/3?

The scores of 11 and 66 are related to the result on the d20 dice and add extra modifier to 20 or -20.
EXAMPLE: d20 is 7 and the sum of white and black is 11. Modify the BASE POINTS scored by the teams by -23 (7/3, round up).
