Pro hockey season 1979-80 SOON!
While testing 1979-80 pro season in the “Solo Hockey” game, I noticed that quite often at that time there were so-called Bench Clearing Brawls. These were situations where most of the hockey players of both teams (goalies too!) would start a regular battle on the ice.
Now the question: how did the referees then deal with awarding penalties to individual players?
During my Philadelphia vs. Hartford game (4-4 final score) there was just one such Bench Clearing Brawl event in 3rd period.
Flyers penalties: MacLeish 10+5 minutes, Gorence 2, Dupont 2, Bridgeman 10
Whalers penalties: Lacroix 5+10+2, Sims 2, Hangleben 10, Ley 2+2+2, Keon 2+2, Boutette 10

Good news for you. The season of the best league in the world is over so it’s time to update your lineups.
Pull out and roll the colored dice and the match excitement is about to begin.
Here is an example of a new team card for the “Solo Hockey” game. I’ve added Home and Away ratings to further diversify the performance of the teams and get closer to realism.
